Thanks for yout comment, Kate. I made this drawing for ASW, a Dutch organization that provides support and information for people in rental homes, assisted living and retirement homes. This illustration is based on a poll among elderly people, asking them how they feel about retirement and nursing homes. On of the answers (which reflected the poll in general) was that retirement homes felt 'close to the coffin' (loose translation from Dutch) instead of providing a nice and comfortable living environment.
